Associational

From serving as a leader within three different organizations bringing UUS of color together to promoting a diversity of leaders as chair of the Unitarian Universalist Ministers’ Association Nominating Committee to serving as the chair of the Accountability Group for the 2013 Justice General Assembly in Phoenix, I have devoted many hours to enhancing our Association’s ability to work for justice.

I was among those who conceived the idea of the Justice GA –and then devoted countless hours to ensuring that we as the UU Association of Congregations could honor the commitments we made to our partners in Arizona.  Through that experience, I received a very thorough education about what we do well—and what we need to learn to do better when we collectively choose to act as Unitarian Universalists.

I have served in major volunteer positions for the UUA, , the UU Ministers' Association, DRUUMM (Diverse and Revolutionary Unitarian Universalist Multicultural  Ministries), the Asian Pacific Islander Caucus, and have served on a district board and on the district multicultural committees in two districts as well as on the board for the Unitarian Universalist Justice Ministry of California.  I am currently a Lead Mentor for the UUA/UUMA.
